Queer Book Buffs Author Talk: Robyn Gigl
Please join OurSchool for our next Queer Book Buffs Author Talk with lawyer, LGBTQ+ advocate, and award-winning author Robyn Gigl! Gigl's previous books feature transgender criminal defense lawyer, Erin McCabe, who navigates the complexities of her personal life with her fascinating, and sometimes perilous, court cases. Gigl is one of Time magazine’s top 100 authors of legal thrillers and we are so excited to get to hear from her.

Join Professors Richard Steigmann-Gall and Joanna Wuest for an exploration of the patterns and consequences of political scapegoating in Nazi Germany and the targeting of Trans youth in many US states. Q and A session at the end!
Queer Resource Fair
Eugene, OR friends! We’ve got an event coming up at The Lavender Network Hub , 440 Maxwell. There will be amazing stylists there to do small hair cuts or answer questions about gender affirming hair styles (hair.bysar and color.cryptid.hair ), a free clothing and book swap, and an arts and crafts table with local artist kirax.art. Bring your old clothes/books and grab something new!
All ages welcome!

Author Talk: Charlie J. Stephens
Hear from Queer, nonbinary author Charlie J. Stephens, author of A Wounded Deer Leaps Highest. Charlie was born and raised in Salem, OR and has lived all over the U.S. as a bike messenger, wilderness guide, high school English teacher, and seasonal shark diver (for educational purposes only.) This event will be held at North Bend High School in partnership with North Bend’s GSA club.

Join us September 3rd from 4-6pm PST for Drag Makeup 101. Learn from drag artist Anita Dickens and create your own iconic looks! Link will be posted on Instagram soon.

Letter Writing Crafternoon
Come join OurSchool and friends at CraftPDX to write letters of support for LGBTQ+ youth campers and counselors at CampOUT in Florida! We will be prepping craft supplies and making craft kits for campers as well as including all our letters in one big box!

Portland’s most sinful storytelling show returns from the dead this October 29th with out own twist on Halloween campfire stories: 7 Deadly Sins: Haunted.
Join us for a journey into that resilient and terrifying mystery that is the human heart, as five renowned storytellers, writers, comics, musicians, and other artists tell true tales of being haunted by the dead - both metaphorically and literally.
Plus live music, games, pizza, and enough McMenamins adult beverages to make you go out and make your own story of sin.
